New Flashforge Creator Pro 2
All new Independent Dual Extruder from Flashforge
Ever wanted to double your print output capacity or introduce another material for supports or even 2 colour printing? Then this is the printer that can do just that.
Featuring an Independent Dual Extruder.
A major benefit of a dual extruder is that you can effectively double your print output if printing the same object. In addition to this since they are independent extruders, you can also print in mirror mode or even print completely different models altogether. In addition to this, you can print a model with another material for support as well as printing an object with 2 separate colours.
The hotend housing features a direct drive extruder with anti-overflow features.
When printing with 2 extruders, there are times where one extruder is idle, awaiting its next gcode instruction. During this time, the hotend is still at the required temperature, however, the filament in the hotend may gradually be expelled from the nozzle as it is still in a viscous state. When the extruder is then ready to continue, the excess filament may be hanging from the nozzle, creating potential problems. Each extruder is however fitted with a nozzle scraper (a thin metallic clip sitting just below the nozzle) that clears the nozzle of excess filament so as to give the print a clean uninterrupted extrusion.
Easy X & Y Calibration
A very intuitive X and Y-axis calibration have been introduced allowing for accurate multi-colour/material builds. With 2 filaments loaded into the printed the first extruder prints a line along the build surface. Then the next extruder attempts to continue the line. If the lines are not perfectly aligned then the printer allows you to correct the alignment in the digital screen interface. After correction, the printer will then perform the same operation, allowing you to verify any changes you've made. This can continue until you are satisfied with the alignment and can save your adjustments to the printer's firmware. The X and Y calibration can be performed as frequently as you wish and is not just an initial setup feature.
The build volume is 200mm (L) x 148mm (W) x 150mm (H)
Colour Touch Screen and Quiet Operation
With a large easy to use Colour touch screen, navigating and operating the printer could not be easier. Simple and intuitive icons allow you to be able to start printing in no time.
FlashPrint software is provided allowing you to slice your 3D file and send it to the printer.
The Flashforge Creator Pro 2 allows you to print with ABS since it is built with a metal enclosure with an acrylic door and removable top. With the ability to heat the bed to 120, this will help create surface tension for ABS to give it the best chance of not warping and lifting from the textured bed. When printing with materials like PLA, the door and top lid can be left open since PLA prefers a rapid cooling process.
